PROJECT DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a volunteer who wants to learn how to work with kids at the age from 6 till 15, or with younger children 3-5.
Project will take part in primary school and kindergarten in Staré Město, small village near Frýdek-Místek and Ostrava. Although school is connected with formal educational system, volunteers will be work with kids especially in their leisure time, in the school club. Working tasks: preparing small activities for breaks or free time between lessons/helping with after school tutoring/preparing some workshop for school clubs / helping young kids with moving in the school /preparing different events/helping with the programme in kindergarten with children at the age from 3 /work 33-38 hours per week. The organization that coordinates project is Trendum, o.p.s.
ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
Accommodation is provided in school dormitories in Frýdek-Místek where 2 volunteer share a small flat. Each volunteer will have his/her own room with standard equipment and also with internet connection. Volunteers can have all day meal in dormitories or they can eat also in the school. There is always a possibility to heat the food or go for a menu to a restaurant. Volunteers will get travel card for public transport, all costs connected to work will be covered. Volunteers will have a Czech bank account where we'll send them pocket money and money for food at the beginning of the month.
TRAINING DURING THE PROJECT
Volunteers will participate in trainings organized by the Czech National Agency - pre-departure and mid-term training. They will also have a possibility to participate in teambulding in coordinating organization Trendum at the beginning of their project. Volunteers will also have a Czech online course.
VOLUNTEER PROFILE
We would like to welcome in our project a volunteer who will be motivated to learn soemthing about the work with kids and young people and gain new skills. You don't need to have any special abilities and knowledge. But if you're creative, flexible and responsible it can be a small advantage.
