On the 13th of April we had our first string art workshop. String art or pin and thread art, is characterized by an arrangement of colored thread strung between points to form geometric patterns or representational designs such as a ship's sails, sometimes with other artist material comprising the remainder of the work.

We were lucky because we had our volunteer Mateja who was very experienced and talented in the area of string art and she showed us everything.

Usually, it's hard to keep children's attention, but this time we were focused on it for hours. Although it was our first time doing it, we were pretty good and we made some great art.

Before the workshop, we had to prepare wooden boards. We sanded them with sandpaper and later we painted them. It was a fun and relaxing process.
